Synopsis
One of the great theatre pieces of US literature,
this play was Tennessee Williams’ personal favourite.
The play is set in the early ‘50’s in a plantation home in the Mississippi Delta.
It is the story of a Southern family in crisis, especially Brick and wife Margaret (usually called Maggie or "Maggie the Cat"), and their interaction with Brick's family over the course of one evening's gathering at the family estate in Mississippi. The family is forced to confront many secrets of repressed greed, sexual desire and deceit.
