Synopsis
One Man Two Guvnors is set in 1963 Brighton, amidst the mods and rockers scene, and is based on the classic Italian comedy The Servant of Two Masters by Carlo Goldoni.
In this new prize-winning version by Richard Bean, sex, food and money are high on the agenda.
It is farce at its funniest.
One Man Two Guvnors opened at the National Theatre in London in May 2011, transferred to the West End and then played a successful UK tour, and a subsequent Australasian tour in 2013.
It won the 2011 Evening Standard Theatre Best New Play and Best Night Out Awards
Fired from his skiffle band,
Francis Henshall becomes minder to Roscoe Crabbe, a small time East End gangster,
now in Brighton to collect 6,000 pounds from his fiancée’s dad.
But Roscoe is really his sister Rachel posing as her own dead brother who has been killed by her boyfriend Stanley Stubbers!
The permanently ravenous Francis spots the chance of an extra meal ticket and takes on a second job with Stanley Stubbers who is hiding from the police and waiting to be reunited with Rachel. To prevent discovery, Francis must keep his two guvnors apart.

SPECIAL NOTE: The band, THE CRAZE, will be playing before the show!
Be sure to get there early and enjoy the music over a glass of wine from the Bar. The band starts at 7.40pm in the evenings and at 1.40pm for the matinees. They will play in the auditorium, on the stage, so we will be opening the doors at that time, for you to enjoy.
