The playwright:

Anthony McCarten received early international success with his play Ladies Night written in conjunction with Stephen Sinclair.  He has written eleven other widely produced plays – one of which is WEED.

Henry Donavan is being forced into the mortgagee sale of his farm.  His neighbour, Jack Riorden, has been fired up by a marketing conference they've both attended, and so they decide to grow a crop of marijuana to help the cash flow. 20-year-old Terry, a woman Henry met in Wellington, turns up and Jack enlists the aid of his nephew, Hugh.

This funny comedy has numerous twists and turns along the way, as we follow the ups and downs (inhales and exhales!) of Jack and Henry’s hilarious attempt to become mortgage free through an easy cash-crop of marijuana.  What could possibly go wrong?!
