Scott Thomas - A Personal collection.
Much of this collection dates from Scott's time as a lighting designer, when a detailed understanding of each set was essential for planning the lighting, before rehearsals moved into the theatre.
For that reason, over half of the set designs shown are not Scott’s design, but we include them for archival purposes and to showcase the amazing sets we've created over the years.
Some productions, such as The 39 Steps (35 scenes) and Ladies Day (10 scenes), featured numerous set changes. Rather than showing every scene, we have included a single representative image from each production.
Since 1990, Scott Thomas has devoted much of his time to supporting Company Theatre with lighting, sound, visuals and set design. On many productions where he did not design the set, he worked alongside fellow volunteers to construct them. All the standard Company Theatre flats we use today he designed and built with help.
