SHEILA'S ISLAND

By Tim Firth. Directed by Kathy Gent
At The Rose Centre, Belmont.
November 16 - 30, 2024

This hilarious and relatable comedy features an all-female cast and follows four middle-aged women as they tackle life’s challenges while trying to navigate their way out of the wilderness. With a mix of “The Office,” “Lord of the Flies,” and “Miranda,” Company Theatre’s November production is a must-see.

It’s Bonfire Night, and Sheila, Denise, Julie, and Fay, Team C in Pennine Spring Water’s annual team-building weekend, find themselves stranded on a Lake District island. Marketing Manager Sheila, unexpectedly chosen as team captain, must lead her team in creating weapons and a rescue flag while uncovering truths and navigating office dynamics.

Written by award-winning playwright Tim Firth, this play combines survival, friendship, and humour, promising to keep the audience laughing throughout.
